I am a forensic archaeologist who is, in all likelihood, either not employed or working a job that isn't in my field. I am okay with this, because I hope to get a PhD someday and then I will...see what happens.

I am currently at home with my parents and unemployed while waiting, somewhat desperately, to hear back about my grad school applications. Such is the life I've chosen. Stupid recession! At least I've got lots of time to write!

I am a chronic TV addict. If it's aired and received any kind of acclaim at all, I've probably seen at least one episode of it. Currently airing fandoms include Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Criminal Minds, Chuck, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Dexter, Torchwood and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Canceled fandoms include...a lot, with Stargate SG-1 featured prominently. I don't write for Farscape, but I adore it. I have recently discovered Canadian TV in ReGenesis and Slings and Arrows, and have decided that it might not be a national joke afterall.

All of my TV entries are tagged by show name. If it has its own tag, I watch it with a moderate degree of obsession.

Sometimes I like Deep Space Nine more than I like The Next Generation. When the feeling overwhelms me, I watch "Rascals" or "The Chain of Command" and lie down until it goes away.

I will read almost any 'ship if the story is good. I also love a good gen story, full of plot and such.

I love books. Lord of the Rings, Tamora Pierce, The Chronicles of Narnia, David Eddings, Anne McCaffrey, Julian May, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Douglas Adams, Harry Potter...the list goes on and on. I also love movies with sword fights, explosions, well written double crosses and/or dance sequences.

I'm a sucker for a good pun. I would like to be Julie Andrews when I grow up because her husband described her (at the Oscars) as "the beautiful English broad with the incomparable soprano and the promiscuous vocabulary" and that's just awesome.
